I'm so sorry. I know you have struggled with her health for so long, and done everything you can for her.

It's the last gift we can give them, to end their suffering. One of the hardest act of love for us tho.

You are not alone. We are here.

If you want you can share pictures and stories when you are ready. It helped me , to focus on the good stuff, the good memories. To not focus on the ending, but the life lived

Thanks guys, it's been really rough but doing better now. Do miss her a ton. She was really the best bird ever, doctors were always so surprised how amazing she was. Never liked to play only the fingertraps and they had to be red. Otherwise she didn't play with them. Watching me always from the cage eye between the bars. Eating chop only with mashed sweet potato. All amazing memories I will hold on to but sadly not make new ones about. Kinda stuck on getting another bird or not. Both roads with Nuka and Chip have been really rough, kinda felt out of luck both times. Or maybe a different breed or maybe from a better breeder. Anyway stuff for later.

I will always remember my Pixie the parrotlet, not long after we got her, she stepped in her own poop, lifted up her foot, looked at it, and then looked at us as if we had put it there on purpose, and then turned her back on us.

they are so funny sometimes!!
