:: EGG LAYING: TREATMENT OF CHRONIC EGG-LAYING
I have a question about this article, the food section saying to only give foods at sunrise and only 15-30 minutes then agian half hour before sunset same thing. Is this right?
Antibiotics in, sent the above article to Dr Tony. He is not in today, but will be there tomorrow. Calcium is loaded with pineapple juice chaser just waiting juice to warm up.
I moved her back to her old space, she lost over a gram, from yesterday. I called Dr Barb she said to move her back. As soon as I did she started eating again.
She is in bed already, Dr Barb said to vary hours 1day 6 hours awake time, the next day, 17 hours awake, gradually reducing the long awake time to 7 hrs awake. We will see. I made her soaked kamut, holy buckets, I'm lucky to have fingers left.
Oh Laurie... I am beginning to think that some of these hen tiels are going to lay - no matter what. I really hope you find a solution. I did get mine a Lupron shot - something that would force her body to rest from all the egg-laying...I know - the cost. Someone from another forum suggested I put some dowel rods on the bottom of her cage - and they are there...anything to make the bottom of her cage somewhat of a "hostile" environment for her. So - I have 3 dowel rods and I rearrange them daily. So hopefully when the Lupron wears off...she does not think her cage as a comfy place to lay.
