newe odd behaviour

Gilligan was snacking on a corn chip today when he suddenly started tossing his head forward going "hewp, hewp, hewp,...." like he was trying to sneeze or cough something up. He would then head bob and try and regurgitate, chew on something, and do it all again. Then he stopped and went back to snacking being perfectly normal.

Has anyone seen this before? Did he get something in his throat?

Agreed, this is what Rascal did when he was car sick. So could your bird have been motion sick somehow, or been stressed?

Rho has done this when she has eaten too much and needs to readjust her crop or when she needs to wash down some food. When she gets car sick (which is rare) she will follow the head bob with rough head shake.

No motion sickness. I think he just got something in his throat or crop and coughed it up. Whatever it was he chewed it again and swallowed it. He is fine.

That is what it sounded like. He seemed to be breathing OK though. He had me worried for a few minutes.

Not saying he was motion sick. Just that he was acting like Bird does when he pukes.

His throw up isn't gross. Or massive. Just some dry seedy looking bits. And then he is fine. Scared us a lot the first few times.
