Hello everyone! I am 54, mom, social worker, knitter, have a brand new lovie male green cheek named Goose! I thank you very much for this forum and your support.

Quick question... Goose LOVES (dives into) my dogs dry kibble. Is this normal? Is it okay for him to ingest kibble? Why is he doing this? Does he need protein?

:) Kristina

Welcome to the avenue....but please DO NOT let him eat dog food. It could harm his kidneys and cause kidney failure. Directly from my vet.

thanks everyone, so no more kibble. but i wonder why goose is so attracted to the kibble... could he be looking for protein? is there a supplement he might need? Goose always has fresh veggies and a little fruit and lots of pellets available. Thx Kristina

No, he probably just likes the taste. Welcome to the Avenue! Especially another knitter. But @cassiesdad is right, we need more pictures!

Hi and welcome. If you are concerned about protein give him scrambled or hard cooked eggs every once in a while.
