I often post here on behalf of my friends/neighbours or other people who don't have access to much knowledge. I'll someday broadly cover status of birds in India, for now...I wanna ask if a cockatiel and Indian ringneck can be kept in the same room? Do IRN belong to new world parrots? A tiel's feather dust can be harmful for an IRN? Posting on behalf of a friend of mine.....

I've never seen IRN's mentioned as sensitive to cockatiel dust. Most sensitive are macaws, amazons, conures and pionus. Macaws seem to by far the most sensitive to powder dust.

"New World parrots include Amazons, conures, caiques, parrotlets, Pionus, quaker parakeets, and macaws."

IRNs are from India...considered Old World parrots would be my guess. The ones who are the most sensitive to dust are definitely the Conures and the Macaws. From my own experiences I can say that the Amazons don't seem to be all that affected.
