Gale M
Moving in
hi and my menagerie says HI!!
I have a 7 yr old Cavalier, an 8 year old Ragdoll, and my first bird, a 3 yr old male Parrotlet I rescued last summer; he had been terribly abused by his first owner and I am working with him to make him normal again.
Then, in December, I bought a 5 month old conure male but DNA proved her female. In February, I adopted a female (not DNA tested) that is a year older than my baby conure. The owner had posted her for sale because she was terrified of her. I contacted her to offer her help so she could keep her, but she said she didn't want to keep her as she had a Green Cheek Conure male, dog, cats, rats and more, and her daughter was moving away and didn't have time. I sent her a video of Gazoo doing tricks. I told her I wish I could take her but I could not afford it. She contacted me and said of all the replies, I was the only one she trusted and dropped her price to almost nothing. I drive almost 2 hours to get her and bought her a proper parrot cage, not the smallish wire cage she was in. Her name is Tiki.
The two girls are bonded like crazy, from the moment they saw each other. The photo you see is them 20 Minutes after I got her home and she got out of the cage while I was trying to put food and water in the cage. I am going to get her DNA tested to make sure she is a girl.
