My snake business is called Robin's Nest Reptiles, thus "new scaley addition to The Nest!" :D

This is a Christmas present to myself, and I'll pick him up from my friend's house where he was shipped, next Saturday!

He's a cinnamon pastel ball python:

Picture from the breeder's site (who's also a friend of mine)

Pictures from the Birmingham reptile show in November where I first saw him, but didn't get him at the time:

And pictures that my friend (DeborahS here on the forums) took for me after he shed on Tuesday shortly after he arrived:

Very beautiful snake! I love snakes. I use to work at a zoo, in charge of animal husbandry. We had two pythons over 18 ft each and weighing over 100 lbs. I like your snakes size much better, easier to move around and much easier to feed.

Oh, WOW!!! What a stunner! Totally gorgeous snake. I'll have to remember to show this to Tara later. She loves BP morphs.

They're as addictive as the birds!

Beautiful! But he can stay at your house :D
Hahaha! I can respect that!

Yeah, I don't think I'll ever work with the giants - I know my limitations! :p

You should have her check out my website to look at some of my other morphs too! http://www.robinsnestreptiles.com

It's a boy. You sex snakes by popping them (apply pressure at the vent area to evert hemipenes in males. No hemipenes, and it's a female, hemipenes, and it's a male), or by using a probing kit, where you insert a probe at the vent area towards the tail. 4-5 scales deep equals a female, much, much deeper equals a male. I pop most of my snakes, but do have a probe kit when I'm not sure if a male may have developed enough muscles to hold in his penes.

I haven't yet. I thought of Elf since he's a Christmas present to myself, but I also like the name Charlie. I like male names that aren't "scarey" names for my snakes. My other males are Griffin, Oliver, Murphy, Winston, Zaphod, Spenser, Casper, Piper, Tucker, Paxton, Tonka and Tonka Too. And then there's the black milk named Jett (his mate is Onyx) and my striped albino kingsnake named Skittles, and his mate is Starburst - looking for another female who will be named Juicy Fruit.

Hiya Robin, nice to see you on the bird side of the house. :highfive: (I'm Shadera on the BP site as well..)

He's a gorgeous boy. If someone doesn't snag that female fast, she's gonna end up here. He's bred some really fine examples of that morph.

Congrats!
