Gracy is sitting on his perch with his feathers puffed. He is chirping softly so I believe all is well. But I read that puffed feathers can indicate sickness. Just want to be sure he is ok. Are there other signs of sickness I should look for? He ate breakfast and drank water. So fingers crossed I am just being over protective
Happy chirping is a good sign :)

My Gracy has been chirping VERY loudly and continuously for a few minutes. Its a bit comical to me so I hope it’s not a bad thing. He hangs upside down looking all around chirping. I’m hoping it means he is feeling comfy! Only had him for 5 weeks.

It sounds like a happy bird to me. :)

If you are very worried try sharing a video clip so we can see what he is doing too. I wouldn't stress though. I am glad Gracy is having fun!

Ok I’ll see if I can get a video if he does it again. Thanks for your reply!

I will be leaving Gracy at my daughter’s house for a few days. I’ve only had him 5 weeks and he’s never been out of his cage so I don’t have to worry about him on the loose in a new house. Do you all agree that all should be ok?

He’ll be fine. :) We all worry so much but really — they’re always okay.
