I'm sure I've come across this site before when doing research on some breeds, but I decided to finally join when I had a question myself I wanted to ask. Anyway, not sure to what extent I should introduce myself, but I might as well share my little bird story.
Got my first bird, a cockatiel, when I was around 6 or 7 (if my already failing memory serves me correctly) after we had to give away some of my first pets - chicks. After that, our bird family slowly started to grow until my dad finally built an aviary in the small backyard we have. We had all sorts of finches, canaries, cockatiels, even quails at one point, which vanished into thin air, and more. My dad soon got into breeding, and I would be in charge of taming the babies that we would sell. We had ~50 birds at one point, and now we have, well, none.
I've been taking care of my friend's tiel for about two weeks now, and that was what made me miss having my own pet bird. So, I'm currently torn between the choice of a GCC and an Indian Ringneck, haha.
