New here former Grey parent now expecting another!

Hello! I had a Grey some 15 years ago and tragically lost him when he was just a bit over one year old. It devastated me, and while I still had my Amazon's I could not face getting another Grey. I started thinking I was ready about a year ago, but "sticker shock" slowed me down a bit! The last Grey I had cost $1000, so current pricing took a bit of getting used to! I am now waiting for a baby that should be here in August. Meanwhile, being obsessive/compulsive, I am researching everything African Grey again and getting things ready here. It's fun to see that many of the sites and folks I knew about then are still around now, but I'm also interested in seeing what has changed since then. It was so nice to find a forum that was still active in this age of Facebook! Looking forward to talking with all of you!
