New cage!

Our Cockatiel's new cage finally arrived. Now we just have to get him into the new one... However, he is not tame and very spooked by people (we just got him from a petshop a few days ago where he had no cage partner and little to no experience with humans)

We dont want to spook him or grab him to change the cage but so far he hasnt wanted to leave his old cage.

Any advice?

Place it next to his old cage. Keep the door open in the new cage - put some favorite toys, treats, food in it - stuff that is familiar to him. Let him go in it on his own. It may take some time.

You could also put the old cage into the new cage and leave the door open... or take the top off the old cage? (if he hasn't moved over already)
