Hi all - I received a beautiful CAG a few weeks ago and he is settling in nice. He is 20 years old and is super sweet. I moved his cage from his old home to my home without changing anything. I noticed at the time that he had a cute perch and I want to get him a new one. HOWEVER, he has chewed away the part that I could show you. It is a wood perch with sisal run through it. I don't know if it had toys at one time or not. Does anyone know of a place that sells those type of perches? I'm more than happy to order it from one of our vendors but I haven't found it yet. I found it!

BTW - here is a pic of Marley.

Don't you also have Macaws? What do you do to protect them from the bird dust?

Yes, I do have macaws.
They are in a completely different room with two filters in between the two areas.
I wasn't looking for a CAG but it was hard to say no.
I almost didn't post that I got him but eventually it was going to come up.

Congrats on Marley and good for you for taking him in! He plucks very similarly to mine, whom was also a "rescue". He does have a very sweet look about him.

I hope that new feathers will come in. I see a few but I like the fuzzy stuff too.

I just went on a trip and when I got back there were two feathers on the ground. Same length.
I don't know if he plucked them or if he molted them...and I didn't even look.
It really doesn't make any difference to me.
According to my sitter he was my best eater while I was away. AND he was nice to her.

Happy you and Marley have found each other. All the best with him. If you've never had a grey, prepare to have your heart stolen. Oliver has a lot of empathy and seems to know when to crack a joke to lighten things up.

Congratulations!
