It's never a good idea to stick a new bird into an existing bird's cage. They need their own cage, toys and supplies. New birds should also be quarantined for 30-90 days before introducing them to the current flock.

I'm thinking about naming him blue jay. After one of the little blue birds from angry birds.

He is in holly's old cage the two cages are next to each other. They both seem to like to be next door in different cages.

They are both so cute!! Gotta love those little blue budgies. Congrats!
Even if they never live in the same cage, I'm sure they'll enjoy each others company and vocalize to each other.
I second Monica - you should probably have him in a different room for about thirty days. From what I've read, birds get really stressed in a new environment, and the stress hinders their immune system. Not to mention that, by quarantining him for a few days, you can ensure that he does not have any diseases that could potentially get your first bird sick. Have you had the chance to set up a vet appointment for him yet?
Also, Blue Jay is really cute name! You could call him Jay for short... or Blue. Haha.

Tell the truth for all the years my family has owned birds they have always been extremely well and they never even been to the vet. My house is a studio apartment. So there no other rooms I can put him.
