I just found your post. I understand what you went through. I had to put my White Front Amazon down. She was with me for 25 years. She stopped being vocal and not flying, she had gout and crystals on her kidneys. I could have kept her with me, padded cage at the bottom and a life time of meds. She was wild caught. I still tear up. It's only been a month. It was the most difficult thing I did but I did it for her. My prayers and thoughts are with you.
