My youngest daughter had one for years that looked like him named "Spirit". We have also had Betas named "Flare" & "Shen-Lung" (that's a Chinese water dragon) and oh yeah, "Raspberryblueberry"... named by by eldest daughter when she was 3 (she is now 11).

Whatever you name him, he sure is pretty.

Just wanted to confirm. I didn't want to participate naming a being that had an anticipated expiration date.

He looks like a Sinclair to me.

But you may want to keep an eye on those ghost shrimp they're known for shredding betta fins. I tried to keep some in a 10 gallon with a GORGEOUS huge tailed male and they destroyed his tail

She's feeding the puffer inverts. It's the same as feeding lizards inverts like crickets.
She never mentioned fish
Though I know that is still upsetting too some, I just wanted too point it out.

The stripes should fade and his color should come in much more vibrant. Those are stress colors. Call him Redwood.

Mine is named Linus, if you fed your puffer blood worms ever give your betta one or two occasionally, it's good for their coloring
