I personally think it's a hybrid pi between a maxi and blue head.

Allison very close!! I have come to the assumption of blue head/white cap hybrid.

Check it out!

the reason why i picked white cap and blue head was because of the nan-sun colorations, the cap is maroon, a little red from a sun and a little black from a nanday. I assume it would be simliar genetics here, a little color from each parent presented in a diluted cap.

Interesting! and it wouldn't be just a weird color mutation?

I don't think so, the only mutation I have ever heard of in a pionus is the lutino dusky, so far haven't seen or heard anything else. Anyone seen any mutations in pi's? :)

I would like to see more pictures and especially of the eyes( Because I would like to see how much skin is around the eyes?) but I can clearly see bronze coloring on the wings so it does look like a mutation of some sort of species of Pionus IMO.

I really think it is just a blue head/white cap hybrid. Look at the beak--it has a bit of red/pink just like a blue head, but the body colors of a white cap--the rest of the beak, and all the colors except the blue bib(blue head)

evil jolly ball 006.jpg Actually the body coloring looks just like my blue head Pi Andre. The main difference is the pink cap and white beak.
