Hi, I'm the wife and my husband and I will be the ones inheriting my father in law's CAG.
His name is Snickers.
He originally belonged to my husband's grandmother, and my husband rehabilitated him from being pretty much insane. When I met Snickers, he had a penchant for biting, but hubby asked me to trust him and handed me Snickers.
He's 10+ years old (no-one knows his exact age) but since I've met him and put 5% trust in him, he's never bitten me. He's in love with my husband (75% his bird) but he does a mating dance at me. Lol.
However, he bites my mother in law and father in law. I love this bird so much, because I used to have a cherry head conure who attacked me incessantly and I was a bit wary of a bird twice the size of that heathen.
However, he's shown to be a very loving boy and I have grown to trust him enough not to shy away from his beak and now he gives me kisses. (And his sexy dance, for lack of better explanation.)
I'm new here and Hubby and I both just want to learn more about CAG in particular but parrots as a whole.
