As do the pit bulls here.

Pit bulls are illegal here but the law here says that any dog that looks like a pit is classed as one even if there is no pit bull in the dog, so many loving family pets are seized over looks

That's a shame. I believe Michigan has a similar law for pit bulls because of the problems they've had with dogfighting (another story for another thread).

The government here believe that bull breeds are more aggressive than other breeds, draconian law

That's similar to what has been happening here too; the other part of the problem has been that in some cases the people adopting a "pit bull type of dog" has turned around and used them in dogfighting so they aren't even considered for adoption, whether they are good or not.

It's such a shame for the poor dogs they get exploited so much and making them illegal attracts the wrong kind of people
