Thanks to you all for your help... we took him to the groomers about a month ago... i have gone ahead and soften the bottom of his cage and he appears better today. in any case we are still looking for a vet and we can't seem to get an appointment but i am going to call the vet you suggested daisy. thanks again and i'll keep you guys updated.
