No, you misunderstand. It is another forum on this site. Post your question and picture in that forum instead, and I think you'll get more immediate answers.

Yes, call your vet and tell him the toe is constricted and looks like it has no blood flow.

I agree, emergency section of AvianAvenue.

It looks as if your vet is giving your bird good medications. It takes antibiotics at least 48 hours to show any effect on a bacteria. I have explained them below. Has your parrot ever injured his toes or foot? Did he have a band on his leg that has been removed? How did this injury happen? Has your parrots been eating and drinking?

Mobipharm is Meloxacam a pain killer used for animals
Clendahexal is Clendamycin a broad spectrum antibiotic - especially used for bone infections
B Complex is a mixture of Vitamin Bs which helps the hunger and supports enzyme activity
Enro 10% is a broad spectrum antibiotic that is commonly used for birds. It affects a broad spectrum of bacteria and absorbs throughout the body.

That poor baby looks miserable and like he is in lots of pain. I hope he gets better soon.

I'm not saying that you just wait - I would call my vet and find out what he thinks is wrong with your bird and how long it should take the medications to start working.

The foot and ankle really do look bad and it needs a lot of care. He may be pulling feathers on his leg due to pain.

What kind of parrot do you have and what is his/her name? Please keep us updated on his condition.

If it is an antibiotic resistant bacteria you may need to start a conversation with your veterinarian about amputating your bird's leg. I don't know where you live, but it may take some time to find a vet who can do an amputation on a bird.

Not saying this to scare you, but you need to be ready for any thing.

Give your bird lots of loves - he's hurting a lot.

At least that is a good thing. Bring the subject up the next time you talk to him.

I really, really wish the very best for your parrot and for you.
