This is my new oscar, I got him yesterday and he is already settled in. He is in a 120 gallon tank with three tinfoil barbs and a parrot. Usually they pout and sulk for a while but not him! He seems to be all settled, I really like him.

Does anyone know what kind he is?

I love oscars. Will he still live with the other fish as he grows?

Congratulations on your new oscar! Sorry but I am not good at fish species.

Yes, he will still live with the other fish as he grows. They all have the same temperment. If he or my parrot gets to aggressive I will seperate them. I have a back up plan. Wilbur would go in the 120gallon and the Parrot, Charlie will go in a 75 gallon. :)

Thanks Marie. I have always loved oscars and I finally got one. I just needed the tank space. I could have got one for my 75 gallon but it was occupied so Im pretty excited. Especially for him to get nice and big. Now I finally have the tank space.

Well I don’t like over stocking, I like my fish to have swimming space. Oscars get huge and they need a big tank. Personally I think a 75 gallon is still pushing it once full grown but do-able I guess.
