My new baby IRN

Not new to Avianavenue but i am new to the ringneck forum !! I have recently bought a baby IRN from a local breeder. We named he/she Echo. hatchdate was Feb. 4th 2012 and has been handfed from day 1 . I have had him for 2 weeks and he has already picked up Hello , hello Echo and What are you doing (clearly) He is also working on pretty bird , and good bird and I love u. I am ASTONISHED at this. he is only 6 mon. old !!! He is my first IRN so I amazed at how curious and smart he is. I can hold him, give him scritches , rub his feet , beak etc. He will play with any toys and eat any food offered. the only time he nips is when I attempt to work on stepping up. i am sure over time we will get it but other than that he has been perfect !! Just wanted to share my joy !!

Awww, very cute and heartwarming. We are also going through the same experience with a couple of baby brown headed babies we also purchased from a breeder last week

Congrats! Echo is stunning! I think an IRN being handled from Day 1 makes all the difference. Our Titan was the same,and he is a wonderful bird. He isn't all that touchy-feely,but he's very friendly to everybody he meets. He's 21 years old, and goes out with our other birds on pet therapy visits. Enjoy your beautiful Echo, hope to hear much more about her/him in the future!
