My new babies need names!

I now have two budgies who will eventually go out into one half of the aviary once I’ve finished cleaning and setting it up and I’m hoping in the meantime to earn the complete trust of these two gorgeous babies I impulsively brought home.


I was told they were parent raised and not handled (other than to be boxed up for me to bring home), they will already sit on my hand as long as I don’t move and if I have this grass stuff that grows in our yard then they are all over me.
I’m not sure what the grass is so any help would be appreciated...same as name suggestions

I will post some better pics of the babies soon in the hopes someone can confirm what sex they are as I’m having a hard time deciding.

@Lady Jane suggested that I ask @PoukieBear, @Budgiebonkers or @Ripshod for some help with sex ID.

So, hopefully one of you lovely people will be able to let me know for sure what sexes these guys are so I can give them names to suit them.
I’m actually more concerned about breeding and egg laying to be honest than names that suit sex....I love hearing of female birds named Kevin, it always gives me a giggle Lol.

They are so pretty!

The one on the left is male. The one on the right is tricky because the cere is showing up as a very light colour on my computer screen (almost solid white). So I'm not sure if the colour is washed out because of direct sunlight or not. Can you get another pic in natural light, but not direct sunlight?

I'm far from being an expert, but they both look like males to me. I agree with the others, the one on the right is a little hard to see, but I think I can see a tinge of pink? Might just be the lighting though.

I believe that names shape who we are (people and animals) and if you name an animal an "old person" name I think it will live long. So my vote for the female would be either Mabel or Gertrude
