Well, it was a devastating day yesterday. We took Misty to the vet yesterday because her leg got worse and she lost function from the knee down absolutely, and she was laying on it the night before last. So yesterday we took her in as a walk in to see what was happening. Our vet suggested an x-ray and blood work. Misty definitely seemed strong enough and we proceeded with it. During the procedure, she stopped breathing, and the Dr did CPR for 10 minutes to no avail. The X-ray showed a tumor likely pressing on a nerve, making her leg not work. We brought her home yesterday and showed her to her sisters. Her brother had already been looking for her, and now panics when he's alone. It's way too quiet in this house now.
Misty was a beautiful soul and a scaredy little girl, that mothered her brother while he's sick. She took care of her feathered family, as well as her mommy and daddy, and we are absolutely devastated. My husband brought her home after work almost 6 years ago, and we thought it as fate because she was still at the store.
Misty, we will never forget you, or your kindness and beauty. You were an integral part of our family, and will be forever in our hearts. We love you, forever and always, our baby you will be.
