I just wanted to share this photo since I figured out how to post pics. Jed passed away in my arms almost 3 yrs ago. I still think of him daily and smile.

Jan, Jed was a very pretty dog. I'm sorry for your loss, i'm sure you had lots of good times together. Isn't it nice when you can look back and think about the good times? It took me awhile to do that after my boxer passed.
Jed was really handsome.

Sorry for Your Loss-He was a Very Handsome dog
Thanks everybody- The pain has gone somewhat, but I still miss him dearly. He was so good around the birds. I did not replace him because I don't want to take a chance with another dog around Bodie. It would kill me if something happened to Bodie and it was my fault by bringing in a dog. I have never gone this long with out a dog in my life but Bodie is my first prioity now.
What a beautiful picture of the two of you. I hope it's framed and displayed in an awesome place.
It doesn't seem fair that we get to keep our birds so much longer than our dogs. I read in a journal once that you will have many dogs in your lifetime ~ but that there will be one that stands out. Doesn't mean you don't love the rest, just that, that one was something special. For you Jan that was Jed. For me it was Rebel a Belgian Tervuren that's been gone over 15yrs ~ it still makes my heart. We will meet our special ones again Jan.

Goldie...we let her go at 14 years. She never knew she was a dog. She was my close companion and I miss her every day.
