Found some lids to put over the holes for now...

The plants are growing!!!! :bliss: No sign of the pea yet, or strawberry or chillies, but the others are sprouting!! The lettuce was the first to show...

Followed by basil and tomato (still very small).

Wow growing already! :dance4:

Before the roots get too long and tangled....I'd suggest moving the plants and using those end holes and leaving the spaces between plants in the middle.
That will make for less crowding.
Ooops - didn't see this. Good idea, Debbie. Will do that now. :highfive:

Took this pic earlier today. They are all sprouting!!

The pepper and strawberry were the slowest. At last I see a tiny shoot in the strawberry hole. I thinned the tomatoes to just one plant. They were hard to remove - broke one, but planted the other in some normal soil. Don't know if there was enough root for it to survive.

Going to rearrange them now, Debbie. Thanks for the tip! :)

I'm getting this model come payday next month. It has fewer gadgets to break down on me and cost about $10 less to boot.

I wish I had the room for an indoor farm/garden...
That is a really neat little garden.

It seems like it could act as a nice humidifier for a bird too. I wonder if Pi would like one.

I stumbled onto this video and it sold me. I just don't have the room for anything in this apartment.
(It's about 7 minutes long.)

That was a great video! Very informative. I noticed she used tap water. Some here use filtered/bottled spring water? Are you getting extra pods other than the herbs? It's cool they provide discs to close off the unused holes.

Tomatoes and strawberries to start with. I'm going to use filtered water I make myself with a ProPur water filter pitcher. I keep a gallon in the fridge at all times and feed my baby with it also.

I am guessing the plants get enough minerals from the added food? Just know that distilled water contains 0% minerals, so tends to leach minerals already in an organism.

There are other brands, Natalie. If you put in a search for hydroponics in Amazon, lots of different ones come up. Mine's a Click And Grow. Miracle Gro do one too. They are expensive though... which is why I took about 6 months to decide to get one.
