Because i'm not just bird crazy... noooo... i'm also a crazy ferret lover! have been for 10 years now. So much so that I have my little ferretry "Ella's ferret Fantasia". I'm big on free roaming (mostly in the evenings when the birds are sleeping safely in their cage. ;)) and they also have outdoor enclosures so they are never caged and can have a fun and enriching life. :)

I used to have 4 maximum at a time when I didn't breed. But yep, I have 7 right now (plus one that i'm fostering... the black cutie sharing Twist's photo) and more to come this season... it's a lot more work! but they are so worth it. Each of them has it's own little something that just makes me love them to bits. They get along really well to so when the crazy hormones go down, they live together as a happy family. They're so much fun to live with.

Adorable. I've been ferretless for a year for the first time since i was about 18. My last ferret Scud was the best companion i ever had. After him i can't own ferrets anymore. They're just so prone to health issues, and can lead such short traumatic lives an their seemingly boundless optimism and goofiness just makes it that much harder to lose them because they'er just such happy clowns. After Scud i just cant' take it anymore. Man do i miss him after seeing this thread. DSC00253.JPG dawwscud.jpg

I understand. I lost two of lymphoma between four and five years old. It's so hard... that's why I try to work on the health and longevity of the lineage before choosing fancy colours. Today I have a very pregnant lady with me:

She should pop any day now. Poor mum is starting to feel tired and heavy. She's such a cuddle bug. :heart2:
