I got her ashes back today and brought her home. I thought I would be strong enough to do this, but there was a conure in the lobby and I almost couldn't do it.

I lost my voice the day she left. I thought letting it all out like that would help but it didn't at all. The night before she passed I had a dream where she was coughing up blood, and when I woke up I was so relieved. But then I went to check on her and the nightmare was real. I can't stop thinking about the phone call I got. Can't stop thinking about when they brought her out, so cold and small. She must have felt so afraid and alone.

I don't want to remember her like this but I can't help it, it's all I can think about. She suffered so much for it to end like this. Sometimes I wish I was unconscious so I didn't have to replay these thoughts over and over, but I see it even in my sleep. We fought for so long that I always knew this was a possibility, thought maybe I would be ready. But I wasn't prepared at all. I feel like I could die from this pain.

It hurts so much. Maybe I'll live out my life with Tica and then move on from birds, I feel like I can't ever get another bird, can't ever open my heart again.

I want to make her a memorial when the pain fades a little. But for now all I can do is grieve and keep her urn close

I felt the same way when I lost Eloy. And the pain is still their, I don't think it will ever go away, but for some reason I have learn to accept that those feelings are normal because we miss them and want them back. So they don't feel the same way in some strange reason.
Today I can also see all the good memory's. And sometimes I cry when I think about them, but sometimes I smile.
I hope you soon will be their, because I'm sure of that she never wanted you to be sad and feel so lost without her.

Again, I'm thinking about you, and I continue to sending you hugs.
