They are pretty. As a child growing up i had to look at a stuffed pheasant my brother in law shot.

I had a similar problem but I started putting out my fids' old bird seed out in the morning which meant that, by the time the 4 legged critters came around most of the good stuff was gone.

Back in the 80's when I lived in MN, Mpls suburb, I'd see a pair (or two) flying over the interstate. It was beautiful and scary to watch because pheasants don't fly very high and, once in the air, their approach seems to be to glide to the other side. They are beautiful birds though.

:xflove::xflove::xflove: Beautiful!! That's a really great shot too, amazing colors. I noticed that you're in the Channel Islands. I had no idea pheasants had been introduced there. Seems like they've been transplanted everywhere!

I grew up with pointers that we trained for pheasant and quail. Such gorgeous birds. It also always reminds me that my dad used to make pheasant chili. :roflmao:
