Meeting neighbors
In August I was admitted to the hospital. Chloe had been in her room when I went to the emergency room. When I realized that I would be gone longer than planned I reminded my husband to make sure Chloe had a light on if it was getting dark.
He had thought she'd be okay. He had trouble getting her into her cage at bedtime and figured she'd sleep until light. She tried to get to her cage in the dark and hit the wall. My husband found her, still breathing. He rushed her to the emergency vet but she passed during the car ride. My husband didn't tell me until we were driving home after my discharge (about a week later).
I will never forgive myself for putting her in that situation. She was my heart and soul and we did everything together. I miss my Bean every single day.
