My budgie broke his leg please help me

So i woke up this morning and saw that my budgie was not on his other leg, he was just lifting it up and he was just sitting at the bottom of the cage please help me what do i do.

Take it to the vet asap. An avian vet if possible.

In the meantime, put it in a travel carrier with a towel at the bottom so it can’t hurt itself more by falling off a perch.

I agree. If it surely is broken then it needs to see a vet.
How do you know its actually broken though? It just might be hurt.

I agree. If it surely is broken then it needs to see a vet.
How do you know its actually broken though? It just might be hurt.
Either way they would need the vet for some pain medication.
So I agree with the first line, head to the vet to get it checked out.

well i think its broken because he is lifting his foot up and he is walking around and all but slowly he rests his foot sometimes but most of the time its in the air. how do i know if its broken

there is no bird vets near me or none of them take birds. what can i do ??

You could either try a regular vet, I noticed there are a few 24 hour places there, or try this place that does surgery/wellness exams on poultry: Advancing Animal Health
There are several online avian vets if you Google it. I used one once - can’t remember which. They will ask for photos or video. That may help.

I looked it up and the online site I used was the Justanswer “Ask a Bird Vet” and they were excellent.

I don’t know, it’s the only thing I could think of.
Did you try to call that vet in Barbados that sees chickens?
