What is he doing right now? Offer him a treat and see if he feels well enough to enjoy it.

This is not an emergency, guys. Particularly if he's not acting distressed. I would take some deep breaths and stop messing with him for now. You're at more risk of hurting him if you try to intervene while you're panicking. If it doesn't come out on its own by tomorrow, just go to your regular vet when you can.

Stay calm then and wait for the vet appointment. I believe there was one bird who had the seed stuck for a day or two till it came out. It does not sound like your bird is in pain and if the seed is small enough to move around in the nostril then I would not think it would be hurting at this point.

My tiels get stuff in their nares all the time (they're just talented, I guess). I'm trained to do nasal flushes but I almost never have to because they're able to get the junk out on their own after a few hours.

I'm sorry but no. It's not safe for you to try it at home, particularly considering that you don't have a ton of experience with bird medical stuff. Please take my advice that your bird will be better off if you stop trying to intervene for right now.

Calm down, the more you stress out, the more he is going to freak out. Let him sit quietly, watch from a distance. Sweet Pea has had seeds in her nose, if you let them be, some times they will pick it out, with a talon on their own. If it's still there in AM, then beat feet for the vet.

I think I remember reading aboit someone sucking something out of their bird's nostril with their mouth. Was that @Birdbabe?

If you do do that, be very careful not to get saliva in your bird's mouth
That was me, give a big sucking kiss on that nostril, it should come out. If it dosent after a couple sucking kisses, then let a vet do it.
