So 3 weeks ago I put a deposit on a Lutino Linnie. The breeder had a clutch with 3 greens and 2 Lutinos, but the greens were already sold. I almost called a dozen times to ask the breeder to hold my deposit and put it toward his next green Linnie. Although the yellow is crazy beautiful, I'm just a sucker for a green parrot. But I didn't call, I looked at pictures of Lutinos over and over, convincing myself that a Lutino was the way to go. I went today to choose between his 2 Lutinos and mentioned that many say that Linnies do well with a partner. My breeder said that he thought I should start out with just one, but the normal green clutch mate was available now because the buyer decided to buy a bigger bird. OMG, there I was bonding with the Lutinos when he brought the normal green out. She came right to me, climbed up my coat and I was in love. The breeder was happy to let me choose which Linnie I wanted from the 2 Lutinos and the normal green. I choose the green and on the way home said to her "What am I going to name my little green girl? Gigi!" So Gigi it is. We got home at 3PM and she took a nap, then started exploring her cage and eating her pellets. When I come over she hangs on the cage in front of me. The breeder said give her 24 hours till I take her out.
