I love all of you guys and everyone's wonderful, sweet messages. But he is ok and I swear it's some kind of miracle, all signs, symptoms, and blood tests pointed to pancreatic cancer.
He was screaming in pain, wouldn't walk and his entire muzzle and neck and throat were swollen. After his first day and 1/2 at the vet I spoke with him and he said that Shirkhan had really perked up and he sounded like this wasn't usually the case. Unknown to me at the time he started researching auto immune diseases and began treating him with prednisone. We visited him and he was perky times 10, ate an entire can of dog food (first in 5 days), soaked up his pets and loving as the vet told us his x ray showed no signs of any tumors except and abrasion on his pancreas. He's now home and happy and while he most likely has an immune disease he most definitely has more time!!
