Mother's Day birds

So, yesterday I was at my parents' house for Mother's Day and my dad noticed 7 birds sitting in a row on a tree branch. Sadly, I didn't get a pic, but everyone took turns looking through his scope to see them closer. They were gorgeous!

I didn't recognize them so I had to google "brown bird yellow tail red wing tip"... And...*drum roll*... it was a family of Cedar Waxwings! (This was eastern Kansas)

And it was extra cool because there were 7... And not counting spouses, we are a family of 7. So it was kinda special for Mother's Day. :)
