Rollerblading along the road
Last night was another Sherman first. Yes, these are babysteps, but it's more than I expected given her history and my ignorance. Sherman decided to stay on the perch outside her cage after dinner. (Thanks, @Eloy!)
It's common for the other birds to enjoy an after-dinner preen then short nap. I decided to just leave Sherman's cage open at dinner. After eating, she climbed outside onto the perch there. She stayed outside, preened then even took a nap!
The conures woke first, so I opened their cages. Of course, Sherman opened her eyes at the noise but didn't go inside as I expected. She just watched then made some low chirps.
It's been almost 7 months and the strides Sherman has made are so thrilling! She is so brave!!! And, just in case you don't know yet,
