They are different plants. Just so you know, usually only cockatoos and macaws can chip manzanita as it is very hard.

I have apple trees, mulberry and a crabapple I make perches from.

Menards sells SS hanger bolts, washers and wing nuts to make your own perches from the magnolia tree.

I like that idea. I ordered a driver tool and some hardware from @Jan a while back but never had any good wood to try it with.
