molting

Hi my 3 month old bourke has started molting how long will this last? also will he molt all of his feathers or just a few should i feed him anything different thanks

Birds do not molt out all the feathers as they "cost" a lot to the birds system, feathers can last about 4 years or so. The feather regrowth should now become better "quality" feathers as when they are chicks they have to grow a whole covering of feathers to enable to fledge the nest.
Also even though moulting you should not be able to see areas of bare skin.
