The weird thing is, it wasn't at all. But is is that little dangly piece just at the base of the nail that got sliced. It seemed pretty minor actually. Weird.I'm glad to hear Mojo is doing somewhat better after a good night's sleep. I would definitely watch for any setbacks. The bite must have been a deep one, poor little guy.
Glad to hear that he is better this morning.Just woke everyone up. He was on his towel in his hospital cage. He is much better rested this morning. I just gave him his meds and put on his soothing cream. His foot did not feel as hot this morning.
He is back in his regular cage during the day. We'll see how it progresses.
Thank you everyone. I was having terrible anxiety attacks yesterday evening.
Also:A few articles on toe tapping:

Toe Tapping & Wing Flipping

And much more on google, these are just three that I have read.
Most toe tapping in eclectus parrots, is due to DIET related issues. Ekkies have a super sensitive digestive tract, so they are very food sensitive.
However toe tapping and other neurotic signs, are a sign of stress, anxiety, and emotional distress.
In this case. It sounds like Mojo is/was in pain and perhaps stressed out about it. Perhaps he is having anxieties over the biting too. He may now have a fear of the bird that bit him, so he is presenting classic signs of neurotic fear symptoms. Or perhaps he is just in pain, and wonder "what the heck?" and is toe tapping because of being bitten.
All in all, toe tapping (and wing flipping and neck craning in ekkies) are because of diet, stress, anxieties, or pain and fear.
Im no expert, but this is from my own experience with Scarlett my VOS I rescued and a lot of research done on this subject. Please anyone correct or add to this if I am wrong or missing any points.
