Misting

I bought a bird bath for my two budgies but so far they have shown no interest in using it. I want them to stay clean and healthy so I am considering getting a spray bottle in misting them. But I was wondering, how wet do you get them and how often should it be done??

As wet as they like! I sprayed my Tiel and Henkie(lovie), if they want ti bath you Will know and they Will stop when they have had enough
