Milton's bedtime...

Milton is covered at night. Most of the time, he has no problem with this fact....but once in a great while, he is. Last night was one of those nights...

Me: (while covering Milton up) Goodnight, Bird...

I sit in the chair, and put my buds in my ear to listen to music...then I watch a beak pull the cover off the cage...

Milton: "HI!"

I say nothing, and put the cover back on...twice more...after which Milty repeats the above actions.

Now I have a rule (I know, I'm full of rules ) If you pull the cover off your cage 3 times, that must mean you don't want the cover...and it stays on the floor the rest of the night. So that's where the cover stayed...and this happened...

Milton: "LOOK AT ME WANNA WET!"

Me: Time for bed, Milton...I'm leaving now...

Milton: "OK...GOODNIGHT"

Me: Good Night, Milton...I love you...

Milton: "I KNOW"...

I am indeed a lucky man...

Milton's "thing" is to say "HI" several hundred ways...well, almost that many ways. The absolute cutest way is when he wants uncovered in the early morning...the "HIs" are so cute sounding...it's always the hardest to resist responding to him at the time...

Me: (after I cover Milty up) All done, bird..
