This morning, during "Daddy Time," Elvis squawked...

Milton: (hearing Elvis) "WAT DAT?"

Me: That's Elvis...

Milton: "DAT A BIRD!"

Me: Yes, Elvis is a bird...just like you...

Milton: "I A PRETTY PRETTY BIRD?"

Me: Yes, you're a very pretty, pretty, pretty bird!

Milton: "GOOD BIRD?"

Me: Yes, you're a very pretty, and a very good bird!

Milton: "GOT DAT RIGHT...LOVE YOU DAD"....

This is a very important time for Milty. I don't want him to feel threatened or "in competition" with Elvis in any way...

Actually, Elvis is a very good bird. He's had to get used to this crazy house, with seven other birds and two guinea pigs vying for people's attention. Quite a challenge for a bird who is an "only bird" at his home!
It looks like he tolerates the littles much better than another 'too right now. Sunshine Tiel came in the computer room yesterday, and Elvis really didn't have much of a reaction to him at all.
He's also met the piggies...many times...E just looks at them with that cocked head look...

That's funny! I am sure it's a shock. My lovebirds never saw a bigger bird. When they saw Freddy they were trying to get as close as they could to get a look. Then he let out a YIP YIP YIP...HAHAHA ! They scattered to the other end of the cage, one of them fell off the perch! They looked like they were looking at a dinosaur!

Ha! I bet! My little Linnie is just 3 months old but she seriously cannot figure out to get to the outside top of her cage from her open cage door. But she can do a kiss noise and a come here whistle! So apparently she is concentrating on that, lol.
