Just saw this on FB. Not my bird but a heads up for all of us little bird parents. The article said this happened while the people were awake and they were able, with much effort, to extract the bird unharmed. But I thought it was worth sharing. Plus the fact that no bird of any size needs unrestricted access to the candy bowl (millet spray).
How awful. I'd be especially careful with metal holders as well. I'm glad they were able to get it out without any injuries!!
