Mega runny poos

Sorry I dont know how else to title this, as thats basically whats happening
My bird is happy and active, eats well but drinks a lot. His poop isnt formed anymore when I have his water bowl inside the cage, I have to remove it for a few hours just to have him out of the cage in safety (of our carpet and surroundings .. gross). His runny poo doesnt smell and isnt a strange colour. Its just.. like a river >_<
Hes about 3 years old now and for the first 2 years or so he wasnt pooing like this. Does anyone know why this is happening please? Is it normal? Im a bit concerned.

Is it actually runny poop or excess urine?
He needs to see a vet. Could be kidney related, or diabetes. Especially if he's overweight and/or clipped.

Hi, what do you mean clipped? Hes not over weight, hes the correct weight still. Actually Jaguar.. yes it looks like excess pee! Its almost clear but with a much smaller percentage of poo. Hmm?

Do a search for polyuria, you should get lots of info. What's his diet like?

PU/PD can be stress, liver or kidney disease, bacterial infection, hyperthyroid ... quite a few things. Would definitely need a vet to diagnose.

Ohh clipped yes. Was thinking why that? but then clipped wings so less active no flying right? Ive weighed him just now, hes 98 grams which is about correct I think? Thanks for all the info too btw.

Might you have fed him a lot of fruits or veggies?

When was the last time he went to the vet? I wouldn't withhold the water, even with the messy poops, because if he's drinking it he must feel like he needs it. Cleaning up the poop might be easier if it dries. I would take him to an avian vet as soon as you can. I hope he's okay, and please keep us updated!
