Male or female?

Hi everyone
Please can someone tell me if my new grey opaline Exhibition Budgie is male or female? He was sold to me as a male he’s 10-12 weeks old I was told, but I have had some biting problems with him, a friend of mine thinks it’s female, please can someone let me know for sure.
