Love it! Thanks Laurie! I already make "crackers" by wrapping up pieces of nut in pieces of coffee filter paper, but I really like this different way of making flowers! :smileflower:

Editing to add - it ran fine for me here. :)

Great video Laurie! Ran great for me! I liked how well thought out it was to what you need & the steps. You thought this out quite well!

Have you looked @ our newest vendor. She has all sorts of bites & balls. I just ordered these for Buddy. Very similar to Nutriberries, I believe. Probably w/ a better $ & a better mix/variety of foods than Nutriberries. IMO...

That was very well thought out video. Well done :)

I had trouble finding those type of filters here so I bought some huge cupcake liners to use instead. Burt loves it when he comes across one of those because he knows there’s always something yummy inside them.

It took 5 tries before I got it workable. Hopefully it will get better with practice.

Part 2: Paper towel tube ' RainSticks'. These are for bigger birds like macaws, amazons and cockatooos. Foot toys or hanging toy.
I use to make these for bigger birds at the clinic when I volunteered there.

If a bird is just learning to forage and doesn't realize there's a goodie inside, any thoughts on how to get him to understand there is and that he has to rip it open to get it?

Great videos btw, very much appreciated.

I usually start off very simple and then make the foraging more complex. For example if wrapping a piece of nut in a piece of coffee filter paper, I'll leave it half open so the nut is in view. When they catch on, then I will start to twist it shut to make it harder to get to. Then when they know that the little packages contains a treat, then you can start packing them into something else. With pots and Barrel of Fun, etc. I'll leave them open to start with, then gradually close them... let the bird see you putting the treat in to begin with.
