Lutino Pearl cockatiels are making me doubt everything I thought I knew about sex linked genes.

I recently found out about Lutino Pearl cockatiels, and they have me confused.
I was told both lutino and pearl genes are sex linked. I was also told that two sex linked genes cannot appear on a female bird at the same time, because she only has one X chromosome. I'm finding images of female Lutino pearls, however.
Is there something I'm missing? You may need to hold my hand and talk to me like I'm 12:bash:
