Pictures Lucy and Scully at the vet

Lucy and Scully went to the vet today for their uric acid recheck and general check up. Since Scully has been exhibiting increased polyuria he wound up having a full blood panel. Will get the results tomorrow.

When we arrived at the vet Scully asked, "Where are we?" Never heard him say that before so was surprised. I told him we were at the vet's and he said, "No, no, no."


Lucy: If I stay back here they won't see me.



Scully: No, get me out of here NOW! Take me home NOW!

After Scully had blood drawn the vet tech put him in the carrier with Lucy. He realized the mistake, removed him quickly and put him in the other carrier. My thought was, "They are not incestful like the Targaryens." The vet and I had been talking about the "Game of Thrones" finale so GOT was in my mind.
Just in case someone doesn't know, Lucy is Scully's mom.

She's mom to all my red-bellied parrots except, of course, for her ex-husband Ricky.

She filed for separation and I approved of the divorce although they can have supervised visitations.
Irreconcilable differences with some spousal abuse thrown in.
Seriously, though, I separated them after he bit the side of her face, pulling the skin away from her beak so that she needed sutures.

I felt bad separating them but I knew it had to be done for her safety. I don't know what set this off but maybe he was trying to mate with her and she didn't want that and he got angry. Perhaps they just needed time apart. They had been together many years.

Crap....Got the call from vet's office and Lucy's uric acid level is elevated again so back to giving her allopurinol twice a day instead of once. At least she is easy to medicate. No results back yet on Scully's blood panel.
