Lovebird Dancing and Making Kiss sounds

Hi guys,

My lovebird, Meeko, has developed some new behaviours.

He makes a very soft kiss sound (like a whispered kiss). If I make it back, he comes over to me, beats his wings very rapidly and waggles his tail. Usually he adds soft, single note chirps to the kiss sounds. Any idea what sort of behaviour this is? It doesn’t feel aggressive.

He is showing off for you because he views you as him mate.

Looks like typical behaviour to me. Not sure what I would class it as. It isn't mating behaviour, but it is friendly. Mine usually do it to me when they are feeling squawky and want me to whistle with them.

My two love it when we sing and whistle at them. We get fluffs and butt wags from them which is normal happy behavior. They talk back and chirp back at us all the time.

My boys do this a lot. They'll gather together in a circle once or twice a day and just have a chat before heading off to do their thing.
