I cannot rave enough about the treatment I have received from Dr. Levac (the main avian specialist), Dr. Patty and all the rest of them at VCA Wilshire in Los Angeles. Dr. Levac called us at 8:30 at night, two and a half hours after the clinic closed and talked to us for nearly an hour about our little tiel and his health problems and he called back two days later to check up. One of the other doctors brought her own bird in and set him up in a cage next to ours to keep our little guy company when he had to spend a few days with them, because she thought he might get lonely. I have not personally sampled them all, but I cannot imagine a better avian vet in in all of Los Angeles.

That's a heartwarming report. I was going to say I wished I still lived in Los Angeles....but......I don't. But I don't take back anything about the fighting Jeffrey! Awesome!

They sound wonderful, and I love the fact that they went the extra mile; calling and talking to you, bringing in another bird to keep your little guy company. Keepers for sure. So glad you baby is doing so well and have such wonderful parronts and vets.

The vet sounds wonderful - very caring and thorough. Great to hear Jeffrey was well cared for while he was there.

Couldnt agree more. I have been going to Dr. Lavac for seven years now and he is absolutely fantastic. He's even called to check up on my guys while he was on vacation. Besides being a very caring man, he is an absolutely amazing veterinarian. Been practicing since 1980 and is coming up on 20 years being board certified for avians. Experienced to say the least. Wouldnt dream of going anywhere else (and it takes me 1.5-2 hours to get to him, absolutely worth it).:)
